SR21_paper.jpg

The young EM* SR21 system has been an object of intense study for more than a decade. In our newest publication lead by Gabriela Muro-Arena, a PhD student of Carsten Dominik and myself at Amsterdam University, we see the system for the first time in stunning detail in near-infrared scattered light. The beautiful spirals inside the outer disk ring match very well with hydrodynamic simulations of forming planets in circumstellar disks. If you want to know more, in particular where Gabriela predicts to find the planet who is the culprit, please read our publication here (click).
